Phillip O. Metcalf

Phillip Metcalf concentrates his practice in complex litigation. He represents clients in a wide range of commercial matters, including breach of contract claims, government and regulatory investigations, and further specializes his practice in representing clients in matters involving allegations of fraud. Phillip also regularly counsels clients on business contract matters and represents major public companies in investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Phillip has substantial experience conducting civil discovery and trials in the state and federal courts of Virginia and the District of Columbia. His experience includes successfully representing a homeowner in a real estate fraud case which concluded in a $3.3 million jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff; representing a state hospital against claims by trade associations alleging unfair public contracting practices, which concluded in the dismissal of the case; and representing a major telecommunications company in employment discrimination cases. Phillip has tried cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials.
