Established in 1998, the New York office of Hogan & Hartson provides a full range of legal services to Fortune 500 companies, multinational conglomerates, emerging businesses, and individual business leaders. The New York office is the firm's second largest with more than 150 lawyers. Located in midtown Manhattan, Hogan & Hartson has the rare ability to team experienced New York transactional attorneys and litigators with more than 1,100 attorneys in 22 business centers worldwide, including leading regulatory and legislative attorneys in Washington, D.C.
The firm has long served clients based in the greater New York area and those with ties to the city's international gateways and financing sources. Lawyers in Hogan & Hartson’s New York office also represent non-U.S. based clients with local interests or matters. New York office clients include some of the world's largest media, entertainment, and telecommunications conglomerates, as well as pharmaceutical companies, accounting firms, computer products and software businesses, automobile manufacturers, investment banks and financial businesses, hospitals, universities, HMOs, and managed care entities.
The New York office also represents clients in a pro bono capacity. More than 35 years ago, Hogan & Hartson became the first major firm in the United States to establish a separate practice group devoted exclusively to providing pro bono legal services. As part of this firmwide commitment, the lawyers in the New York office regularly represent civil rights, environmental, homeless, and other public interest organizations.
