George F. Hritz

George Hritz's practice includes a broad range of complex corporate litigation and arbitration, principally involving disputes over international joint ventures; mergers and acquisitions; alliances and investments; contracts, antitrust, securities, financial services, mass torts and class action issues; as well as other multi-jurisdictional disputes. He has served as lead counsel in three successful major trials in Europe in the last six years.

In addition to 35 years of private and public law practice in New York and Washington, D.C., George has held several positions in government, including law clerk to a U.S. District Court judge in New York, counsel to a Special Inquiry of the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee, and Associate Independent Counsel for lengthy federal grand jury and trial proceedings in the District of Columbia. George has also served for more than 20 years as counsel, executive committee member, and board member of the International Rescue Committee, a prominent international refugee relief agency. He is a founder and President of Princeton in Africa.

Representative Experience
Lead counsel in international arbitrations in Europe, the United States, and related court proceedings over joint venture, post-acquisition, product development, and alliance-related disputes; service as arbitrator in international and domestic disputes.

Lead counsel in more than 75 antitrust pricing class actions and related matters.

Lead counsel for international financial institutions in obtaining dismissal without discovery of class actions involving alleged international law violations and in miscellaneous multi-jurisdictional disputes, including numerous U.S. court proceedings involving non-U.S. assets, effect of foreign banking, and regulatory practices in U.S. litigation and related matters.

Lead counsel for telecommunications services provider in resolving complex government contract disputes.

Lead counsel for financial institutions in international real estate-related and aviation leasing disputes.

Lead counsel in dozens of class actions and hundreds of individual claims alleging product defects.
