Community Service
The firm's long-standing commitment to pro bono legal work is renowned. Hogan & Hartson formed its pioneering Community Services Department (CSD) more than 35 years ago, becoming the first law firm in the country to create a separate practice devoted exclusively to pro bono services. A partner and a number of associates now staff the CSD full-time, performing thousands of hours of pro bono work themselves annually, and facilitating the pro bono effort contributed by hundreds of other firm lawyers each year.
