Overview | Composition of Recent Summer Classes

Recruiting a diverse and talented class of associates from law schools across the country is primarily the role of Hogan & Hartson's hiring and recruitment committee.

As a part of our ongoing effort to achieve greater diversity, the firm visits more than 25 law schools and participates in numerous job fairs, including:

  • The Mid-Atlantic BLSA Job Fair
  • The Northeast BLSA Job Fair
  • The Harvard APALSA Conference
  • The Hispanic National Bar Association Job Fair
  • The National Lesbian and Gay Law Association Lavender Law Career Fair
  • The Rocky Mountain Minority Legal Career Fair

We have sponsored events and meetings involving minority lawyer organizations, such as the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition and the South Asian Bar Association of D.C. We also actively support the D.C. Road Show program, an outreach program in which minority attorneys at D.C. law firms visit law schools throughout the country to speak to minority law students about life at major D.C. law firms. We participate in the Colorado Pledge to Diversity Law Firm Group and our New York office is a signatory to the NYC Bar Association's Statement of Diversity Principles.
